Listeners familiar with Kahlil Gibran will likely recognize the hook to this song, which I stole from his popular book, The Prophet. Beyond that, the song is mine. My mother was still alive when I wrote this song, and she said that in the verse I wrote about her, I definitely had her pegged. My father had already passed by then.
